Around the Högl between Bad Reichenhall and Freilassing
We go around the Högl - a ridge of hills that rises in front of the Alps and offers magnificent views of the mountains and the plain.
From the starting point, we turn left onto the Höglstra;e. The signposting for our route is an orange octagon with a stylised hill and transmission mast on a white background. The Höglstra;e leads us steeply uphill to Kleinhögl, where we can make a detour to the lookout pulpit (1). From here we have a beautiful view of the first Alpine mountains. We continue uphill on the Höglstrasse. After a small chapel on the right side of the road, a long descent begins. On this part of the route we have a beautiful view to the left of Anger and the mountains behind. Shortly before Hainham we leave the Höglstrasse and follow the signs to the right. We ride uphill towards the forest. After a short forest passage we reach Lebloh. There we leave the asphalt road and follow the signs to the left. In the beautifully situated Steinhögl we first turn left in the direction of Anger and Höglwörth. After leaving the village, we reach a T-junction where we turn right. Shortly afterwards, we follow the signs
