A scenic relaxing tour that leads from Folgaria west to the suburb of Costa, touches on the 18th-century Maso Spilzi, crosses the greens of the golf course (18 holes), goes around the Ecken biotope, descends to Francolini and returns to Folgaria following the provincial road. It runs on an asphalt road and on an easy dirt road.

We get off our mountain bikes, enter the inner courtyard of Maso Spilzi, raise our eyes to the guards' hanging walkway, slip into the large, dark enclosures, enter the bright 'barn', an unusual exhibition space. We turn the corner. We thus discover that there is also a restaurant (a look at the House specialities?) and a beautiful courtyard where we can sit in the shade, have a drink and enjoy the coolness. In front of us is the 18-hole golf course, one of the most beautiful in Trentino. We climb back into the saddle. The little dirt road runs between the greens. What peace, what tranquillity! And here is the Ecken biotope, a protected area, the relict of a very ancient lake on the shores of which, in ancient times, groups of prehistoric hunters used to scatter their prey. Here is the beauty of nature, the coolness of the woods, the quiet of the sunny meadows.

Turn-by-turn directions
Departure from Folgaria Ovest. Proceed along Via Gen. L. Cadorna, on a medium climb. At the roundabout, follow the SS350 road in the direction of Costa. Once you quickly reach the village, cross it. At the end, turn right (signs) in the direction of the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grazie. After about 200 from the crossroads, in the locality of Négheli, turn left (signs) up the paved road which leads to Maso Spilzi. Near the Maso, turn right (signposted) following the small road that cuts across the Golf Course and leads to the Ecken Biotope. When you reach the biotope (notice board), turn left and follow the dirt road which marks the boundary of the protected area. About halfway along, turn left (signposted) following the dirt track through pastures and woods to Francolini. After crossing the village, turn right onto the SP road in the direction of Folgaria. You will soon reach the roundabout, near the starting point.
