Turn-by-turn directions

The starting point is the car park at the cable car of Welschnofen/Nova Levante (1182 m). At the beginning, follow the Dolomitenstraße/Via Dolomiti in the direction of Bozen/Bolzano. After 500 m, take the turning lane in the direction of the civil defence centre and briefly follow the footpath until the forest path [27] branches off to the left. The trail leads steadily and steeply uphill to below the Malga Stadl Alm (1520 m). At the junction, follow the asphalt path [25] to the right and shortly afterwards turn right onto the gravel path [25A] and then follow the "Templweg" [8] to the left to the Lake Carezza (1544 m). The second ascent to the Mitterleger/Radura di Mezzo (1818 m) is via trail [11]. Then through the "Karer Wald" forest on trail [21] to the Antermont Restaurant (1750 m) at the Karerpass/Passo Costalunga. Follow the road towards the Val di Fassa for 300 m and take trail [548] to the left at the small car park. The third and last ascent follows. Then take a leisurely walk through meadows and woods below the Rosengarten/Catinaccio on the natural path [1A] to the car park at the "Kaiserstein". Keep left at Nigerstraße/Via Nigra and after 600 m turn right and follow the nature trail along the Franzin piste. On a gravel path you reach the Schönblickweg/Via Bellavista; follow this briefly until before B&B Simhild and follow the technically demanding trail downhill to the right along the torrent "Welschnofner Bach" stream to the Hotel Adler. To get back to Welschnofen/Nova Levante, follow the Karerseestraße/Via Carezza road to the car park of the cable car. Finally, take the cable car to the Malga Frommer Alm and the Carezza Trail downhill to Welschnofen/Nova Levante; you can choose between Pumpline and Carezza Trail for the first 1.6 km.

Alternative: To avoid the Karersestraße/Via Carezza road, you can follow the trail [1A] from "Kaiserstein" to the Hut Frommer Alm and descend via the single trails to Welschnofen/Nova Levante.
