This demanding challenge, what with its 900 m elevation gain up to the Resciesa hut, will ensure even the most trained mountain bikers break out in a sweat:

It’s onwards but mostly upwards right from the start: kick off from Ortisei and head north, passing by the Resciesa funicular (turn off her for the Resciesa tour alternative) and continue on the Streda Cuca. Right before the Seceda lift trail, take a left at Martin and leave the asphalt road behind you. The path now winds its way northbound, repeatedly crossing under the funicular cables and the elevation gain increases bit after bit. The long finishing straight opens up to the sight of the Resciesa hut at the end, motivating bikers to give it their best right to the end. However, be sure not to use up all your energy, as you shouldn’t underestimate the descent on gravel.
