Beliebter Gipfel über dem mittleren Eisacktal, eine ebenmäßig geformte Felspyramide.

Vom Gostnerhof in Spiluck (1380 m; Gasthaus; hierher Straße von Vahrn herauf) stets der Mark. 2 folgend durch Wald westwärts hinauf zur Steinwiesalm (1537 m) und weiterhin auf Weg 2 durch Wald weiter zur Zirmeitalm (1891m Auschank; ab Spiluck gut 1 Std.); nun auf dem Steig 2 über schütter bewaldetes Grasgelände im Linksbogen hinauf zur Baumgrenze, bei Wegweisern rechts ab und über den langen Südostrücken der Karspitze (stets gute Mark. 2) teils mäßig, teils stärker ansteigend hinauf zum Gipfel (2517 m); ab Spiluck 3–3:30 Std. Der Abstieg erfolgt am besten auf dem Anstiegsweg (gut 2 Std.).
