A proud mountain figure
From Latsch via St. Martin to the tame high peak

From Latsch take the passenger cable car up to the mountain settlement of St. Martin im Kofel (1736 m). Then on the wide trail 6/8 largely through larch forest up to a fenced water reservoir (1941 m), now turning left and continuing on trail 6/8 (later only 6) through forest moderately ascending to the tree line and to a shepherd's hut, then in a long, mostly moderately ascending traverse of the rocky mountain flanks to a second shepherd's hut (with emergency shelter) and briefly on to the large Niederjöchl cross (2731 m; from St. Martin just under 3 hours).); now westwards briefly down to the Niederjöchl (2662 m), then on trail 6 along the ridge in several ups and downs, passing the 2891 m high Rosskopf, westwards to the cross on the flat south-west summit of the Zerminiger (3059) and to the right, continuing to follow the good markings over the partly sharp, but easily passable block ridge, level to slightly ascending to the main summit (3109 m); from Niederjöchl just under 2 hours.
