From Braunhof to Smudres continue on the main road and then on an unpaved road leading to the Gruben mountain hut. Route 6 takes you to Mount Sommo through forest and across grazing land.  From Mount Sommo along the ridge passing the Cima di novale Spitze and Punta del Dosso/Bairnock reaching Punta Bianca (2,117 m). From the peak walk down to the Riedbergalm mountain hut  (marked 3), then turn left and continue all the way to the Prantneralm mountain hut (1,777 m). On route no. 3 return to Smudres.
