Hike to the peak, with proto-historic evidence, along the sunny slope
The archaeological excavations in the centre of Velturno indicate that this area on the south side had been colonized in prehistoric times. Even on the Monte Pascolo summit, 2,440 m, there are traces of protohistoric settlements.

From the car park near the Croce di Caerna we follow route 10, which runs through woods and alpine meadows to the edge of the forest with views over endless alpine meadows. The next route leads to the small Radlsee Lake and the refuge of the same name. Here you can enjoy spectacular views of the nearby Dolomites. From the refuge we continue along route 7, which takes us to the Monte del Pascolo summit. To come back we take route 10A, which leads to the uppermost huts and to the route up to the top (No. 10).
