Puezhütte mountain hut and nearby Col de Puez (Puezkofel) Peak are popular destinations above Langental Valley in Gardena (Gröden)

The starting point is Sëlva Gherdëina (Wolkenstein) at 1,537 m. Follow Trail No. 14 northeast past the small chapel dedicated to San Silvestro (Silvesterkapelle) until you reach a fork. Keep left and take Trail No. 16 across the woods and open meadows up the high trail (No. 2) that runs almost flat across green mountain slopes to the mountain hut. Hiking time from the parking lot is roughly 3 hours. Ascend the summit by following the signposted trail on the southern slope of the mountain up to the saddle between Col de Puez (Puezkofel) and the eastern peak. Keep right, heading southeast until you reach the main peak. The trail poses no significant challenges; walking time from the hut is about an hour. Descend on the same trail back to the hut; from there, follow Trail No. 14 across grassy slopes until you reach the far end of Langental Valley.
