From the hotel at Braies Lake (1494 m) on trail 20/61 through the forest via the old Riedlhof farm to the fork in the trail and left (now Mark. 61) to the Kaseralm huts (1937 m, just under 1:30 h; no service, alp is also called Neukaser), continue on trail 61 steeply up to the depression of the Braies Furkel (2225 m), briefly up to the fork in the trail with signposts (2291 m) and continue on Mark. Follow trail no. 61 across the stony grassy slopes northwestwards to the summit (2542 m; from Kaseralm just under 2 hours). - Descent: shortest as ascent, total 2:30 hrs.
