The Thrill of It All
Leg 3 of the Alta Via di Fundres (Pfunderer Höhenweg) high trail runs from the Rifugio Bressanone (Brixner Hütte) mountain refuge to the Brenninger bivouac.

From the Rifugio Bressanone (Brixner Hütte) mountain refuge, the route first leads through Steinkar wind gap, then Kellerscharte wind gap, Dannelscharte wind gap, and finally the Walter Brenninger bivouac. This is purely a bivouac, or shelter, with 8 beds and no provisions. So make sure you bring supplies for yourself.  This is the third leg of the Alta Via di Fundres (Pfunderer Höhenweg) high trail. We recommend that the total trek be covered in six legs, one leg per day. Click here for an overview of the entire Alta Via di Fundres (Pfunderer Höhenweg) high trail.
