Dal Passo Gardena si sale su una mulattiera al rifugio Jimmy (2216). Qui si prende il sentiero n° 2, sentiero alquanto ripido. Salendo la vista si allarga sempre più sia sulla Val Badia, sul gruppo del Sella e Pordoi. Proseguendo nella salita si raggiunge la vetta del Sas Ciampac a quota 2670 m da dove si può ammirate una meraviglioso paesaggio a 360°. Tutto il giro è particolarmente panoramico, adatto agli appassionati di fotografia paesaggistica.

Dal Passo Gardena m. 2100 per il sentiero 2 si cammina per circa ore 3 e si arriva in vetta al Sas Ciampac 2670 m passando per la forcella Cier e Crespeina. Il ritorno si continua per il sentiero 2, poi il 4 passando per la forcella Ciampei,  il rifugio Forcelles e si prosegue fino al Passo Gardena, circa ore 2.50.
