From the valley head at St Magdalena/Gsies the shortest way to Stumpfalm is via a (steep) path at the Wolkastol. From the alpine hut, follow track No. 47 across Stumpfalm, then more steeply on to the rocky ridge leading to the summit. The summit offers beautiful views over the Villgraten mountains, the Dolomites and the Rieserferner group. When descending, a path to Kaseralm branches off just above Stumpfalm hut.. This path is less steep and leads past Kaseralm hut into Pfoi valley and back to the starting point (track No. 12).
