The border summit From the car park, hillwalkers first aim for the Tschiggonhütte then continue uphill via Rifairscharte to Piz Chavalatsch.
From the car park, follow track No. 14 up to the point where track No. 14B branches off. Follow this path up to the Tschiggonhütte. From here, continue up to the crossing point with track No. 14A which takes you uphill to Rifairscharte. Now follow marking 14 to Piz Chavalatsch. The descent is via the same route.
