From the former spa of Bad Altprags we hike to the top of the Sarlkofel and enjoy the view of the Braies and Sesto Dolomites and the Central Alps.

This tour takes us from the historic gardens of the former spa in Bad Altprags – past the Hotel Asterbel – on a beautiful hiking trail first up to the Putzalm, where we can take a break. Then we take the scenic Dolomite Trail No. 3 up through rugged terrain to the Sarlsattel. There we keep to the right and reach the summit of the Sarlkofel on a partly exposed path. Here we are rewarded with a magnificent panorama of the peaks of the Dolomites and the Central Alps. From the Sarlsattel, the Dolomitenhöhenweg finally leads us to the Sarlriedl-Joch at the foot of the striking Dürrenstein. Along the Sarlbachl we finally return to the valley, cross the Kameriotwiesen meadows and return to our starting point.
