Across the Mutspitze The Hochgangscharte is a crossover uphill from the Spronser Lakes within the Texel group. This tour is quite challenging.
The tour to Hochgangscharte starts at Hochmut mountain station. Take path 22 to Steinegger, then on to Mutkopf. Then follow No. 23 via Mutspitze to Taufenscharte. Join path No. 25B, past the Pfitschlacke to Oberkaser. Here, rejoin 22 to Grünsee and Langsee, then change to No. 7 and walk up to Hochgangscharte. For the descent, first aim for Hochganghaus, then on via No. 24 to Leiteralm and finally back to Hochmut.
