The hill, where today dozens of stone towers stand, was used by celts for their cultural ceremonies. And because of the habit of putting a stone on top of a stone tower some of them reached a considerable height. But this process never disturbed the mystic and legendary flair.

Turn-by-turn directions
From the Schermoos car park, take hiking trail nos. 17 and 15 to the Möltner Kaser. From there you can either take the direct and somewhat steeper hiking trail nr. 23 A to the Stoanernen Mandln, or you can opt for the easier diversion via the Auenjoch, hiking trail nr. 4 and then nr. 23 and 23/C.

From Munich in approximately 3,5 hours via the motorway (Rosenheim-Kufstein-Innsbruck-Brenner) until you come to the motorway exit Bozen Süd, you take the carriage way Merano-Bolzano, to reach the villages Terlano take the second exit, from Terlano take the mountain road to Meltina.Coordinates
