From Villandro|Villanders to Totensee Lake

 From Gasserhütte (1,744 m, parking lot, signed) route no. 6/15 leads to  Mair in Plun mountain hut (1,860m; stop, refreshments served). Trail no. 6 ascends lightly to the Köber Leger alpine pasture (2,080m). Here, on the right, you follow route No. 1 northward through marshy meadows to trail no. 16, which leads left to Prackfieder Jöchl ridge (2,088m). Route no. 16B changes to the side of the Sarntal Valley and to the Alm Moar in Ums mountain hut (2,055m; stop, refreshments served) at the hollow of the Schwarzer Seen lakes. On the path approaching Seebergalm hut (2,094m; stop, refreshments served), ascend left on route no. 6, you will reach “am Toten” ridge and the Totenkirchl church (2,186m). The path marked with “T“ leads right to the Totensee lake (2,210m) and then up to the ridge of the Villandro mountain (2,356m). The descent leads over a wide ridge eastward to a large wayside shrine (2,150m), where path no. 1 leads right, south-eastward to Gasteiger Sattel ridge (2,058m). Follow route no. 7, at the right fork, route no. 7 leads down to the Kaser alpine pasture (1,742m) and on the road to Gasserhütte mountain hut.
