Via the Ochsenscharte we go up to the Rosskopf. Here we have great views of the Wipptal valley and the surrounding mountains.

This tour takes us uphill on well-maintained hiking trails from the valley station of the Rosskopf cable cars. At about the forest line we turn off to the south-west and reach the Ochsenscharte between Telfer Wei&szlig and Rosskopf on a narrow mountain path. Here, at around 2180 m above sea level, a magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding mountain ranges opens up to us. Finally, we reach our destination, the 2189 m high Rosskopf, via the partly exposed west ridge. After a rest with great views, we hike down to the Sterzinger Haus, where we can treat ourselves to culinary delights. Afterwards, we either take the gondola or a beautiful hiking trail back down into the valley.
