Long, isolated ridge with a very beautiful panoramic view that makes for a splendid traverse of the ridge in a little-visited setting. We are at the western end of the Lagorai for a relatively short route, but recommended for the wide views. The route is mostly easy and needs a nice day!
From the hut, follow path 470, which heads south-west through a sparse larch and pine forest; you reach the wide grassy saddle of the Mirafiori Pass (2047 m). From the pass, turn left to climb the steep western slopes of the Pale delle Buse. Once over a rocky crest, descend to the saddle and then go around a vertical wall to reach the ridge on the southern slope (a short, very steep section).
Leave the pronounced rocky ledges on the left and follow the easy rocks to the top of Pale delle Buse (2412 m, with a small cairn). Now turn south along the slight ridge that descends to a stream and then return (briefly) on the opposite side to the summit of Monte Fregasoga (wide panorama).
