Turn-by-turn directions
From Rifugio Tognola, cross the theme park L'Alpe delle marmotte, take the path of the marmots and reach the arrival station of the Conca winter chairlift. From here the Scanaiol path arrives, shortly after, at the saddle of the same name. From the saddle, go down towards Malga Scanaiol, to join path no. 350 which connects San Martino di Castrozza (for which you turn left) to Lake Calaita (for which you turn right). We continue along the forest road which, passing through Malga Crel, returns to the parking area of the Tognola cable car. Total length of about 9 km for a duration of about 4 hours. The route is unsuitable for mountain bikes. It is not recommended to undertake this excursion in case of storms forecast. It is recommended that you bring a supply of water with you; in fact, there are springs, but at ground level, so it is not easy to get supplies or to be safe.
