Stolz erhebt sich gegen das Tal von St. Kassian die steil abbrechende Conturinesspitze. Dabei "löst" sich das Massiv in viele, kleine Gipfel auf.
Vom Berggasthof Pederü über den an der orographisch linken Talseite bergwärts führenden Steig zur Faneshütte - von der Hütte über den breiten Militärweg über das Limojoch (2172 m) leicht absteigend zur Großfanesalm (2102 m). Gegen rechts über den immer noch breiten Weg durch das Fanestal bis kurz vor das Tadega Joch/Ju dal'Ega (2157 m). Hier (kleines Hinweisschild) nach rechts in das ansetzende Hochtal und über eine erste Steilstelle zum oftmals ausgetrockneten Conturinessee, 2518 m. Über weite Talstufen rechts haltend aufwärts und zum Schluss über Felsstufen hinauf zur Scharte nordwestlich des Piz delle due Forcelle, 2929 m, mit beeindruckendem Tiefblick nach St. Kassian. Von hier nach links hinüber zum letzten Steilaufschwung und über die Sicherungen hinauf zum Gipfel. Abstieg: wie Aufstieg.
