We hike through the picturesque Antholz valley to the third largest mountain lake in South Tyrol, Lake Antholz. The magnificent panorama makes the hike a delightful experience.
The Antholz Valley, a side valley of the Puster Valley, is known throughout Europe for its biathlon competitions. We hike from Antholz-Mittertal at the foot of the Rieserfernergruppe to Lake Antholz. This idyllic mountain lake is the third largest lake in South Tyrol and is surrounded by a picturesque landscape at an altitude of 1642 metres. After an extensive break in the lakeside restaurant on the eastern shore of the lake, we return along the southern slope of the valley to our starting point.
