At the end of the Gsieser Tal valley, a charming mountain tour leads from alpine pasture to alpine pasture. On the way, the rustic mountain farms invite you to take a break and enjoy the magnificent view of the surrounding mountains.

This scenic tour takes us from alpine pasture to alpine pasture above St. Magdalena in Casies. The Gsieser Tal is an approximately 20 km long side valley of the Pustertal, which is very much characterised by agriculture.  Alpine farming above the timberline still plays a major role. From St. Magdalena we climb in the shade of the Bäume to the upper timberline. There we finally follow the "Almweg 2000" in gentle ups and downs and pass some rustic alpine pastures. We enjoy the wonderful views of the valley and the surrounding mountain ranges as well as the culinary specialities of the alpine pastures.
