Lake tour - carinthia

From Spielberg in the adventure region murtal the route takes us via Weißkirchen and Obdach in the direction of Carinthia - we now head towards Klippitztörl - the pass at 1,642m - before continuing towards Althofen. At Gössling we turn off to the historical castle Hochosterwitz where we have a great view in good weather up to the mountain group of the Karawanken. Afterwards we drive to the popular Wörthersee in Velden. The small chic metropolis in the west bay of the Wörthersee where film history was written with Roy Black, Uschi Glas etc.. The Schlosshotel Velden is still today a vacation home of international stars and a popular photo motif as well as an inviting place to stroll and make guest appearances. Also at the Harley Davidson meeting at the nearby Faakersee, Velden is always a popular stop. Along the south shore we drive to Reifnitz, famous for the annual GTI meeting where we ride uphill to the Pyramidenkogel. The 100 meters worldwide highest wooden observation tower can also be left through a slide. Breathtaking is the view from the 3 platforms on the turquoise blue Wörthersee, Keutschacher See and unique panoramic view over the whole of Carinthia. Passing the capital Klagenfurt we drive to the popular bathing lake of the Styrians, the Klopeinersee. We continue to Lavamünd via the mountain road Soboth to the southern wine region of Styria to Eibiswald directly at the Slovenian border. From there we drive north again to the Packsattel and further over the Gaberl to the Red Bull Ring where we can do a 90-minute tour (reservation required), which is normally closed to visitors.
