Alpine Pearls
The villages in Val d'Ega below the impressive Catinaccio and Latemar groups have dedicated themselves to gentle tourism. The South Tyrolean Pearls Trail Eggental encompasses the entire region and leads to the most beautiful places.

From Kardaun near Bolzano, the Eggental South Tyrolean Pearl Trail leads in a wide arc around the Eggental, which is cut deep into the rock, and passes through the villages of Steinegg, Tiers, St. Zyprian, Welschnofen and finally Deutschnofen. The approximately 85 km and just under 3700 metres of altitude can be divided into several stages as desired, and there are always opportunities to get on and off the trail. Along the stages there are numerous places to stop for refreshments and overnight accommodation, and of course the trail can also be rounded off with some alpine sections and summit ascents. As mentioned, the stages can be combined as desired, and the entry and exit points can of course be determined at your own discretion. Suggestions for the division into stages can be found here: 1st stage from Kardaun to Steinegg 2nd stage from Steinegg to Tiers 3rd stage from Tiers to Karerpass 4th stage from Karerpass to Obereggen 5th stage from Obereggen to
