Along the horse shoe shaped route
The “horse shoe” hike from hut to hut crosses the Val Sarentino and the main ridge of the Sarentine Alps.

The hike takes through the rocky terrain and Alpine meadows of the Val Sarentino . This seven-day journey requires a certain level of fitness, accurate planning and prior booking of overnight halts. The two ascents from the Valley to the hillsides and subsequent descents can be made by private or public transport. The journey can start and finish at any stage along the route.  The “horse shoe” hike offers experienced hikers several alternative routes to reach the nearby peaks with no significant delays. Stage 1 - From Ponticino to Corno del Renon 5:00 hours Stage 2 - From Corno del Renon to Santa Croce di Lazfons 5:00 hours Stage 3 - From Santa Croce di Lazfons to Rifugio Forcella Vallaga 5:00 hours Stage 4 - From the Rifugio Forcella Vallaga to Passo Pennes 6:00 hours Stage 5 - From Passo Pennes to Muls 6:00 hours Stage 6 - From Muls to the Rifugio Meraner Hütte 5:00 hours Stage 7 – From the Rifugio Meraner Hütte to Sarentino 5:00 hours.
