the E5 takes from Bolzano through Nova Ponente on Mount Corno, across Lake Santo into the Cembra Valley

Ascend to Bauernkohlern via cable car Colle. The E5 leads to the pilgrimage resort of Maria Petralba through Nova Ponente across the gola of Bletterbach to reach Radengo.  From here the route descends to Fontanefredde and continues upwards to Mount Corno, onwards across the border into Lake Santo, and downhill into the Cembra Valley.
