The Dolomites Hiking Trail 1 leads to three panoramic Dolomite passes and, with its well laid-out and optimally signposted hiking routes, is one of the most popular, multi-day mountain tours in the Dolomites.

The alpine high trail runs along the naturally marked North-Süd route through the östliche Dolomiten. Within 10 to 13 days, you hike through impressive landscapes and discover natural beauty. The starting point is at the Pragser Wildsee lake in the Pustertal valley. During the tour along the main ridges of the Dolomites, the trail leads to three major passes: Passo Falzarego, Passo Staulanza and Passo Duran. The Dolomites Hiking Trail 1 ends at the edge of the Alps in Belluno. The well laid-out paths are always optimally signposted (red and white markings, triangular signs), dangerous places are equipped with wire ropes. Overall, the trail presents almost no difficulties for experienced and trained mountaineers. Only the 19th and 20th stages require an absolute head for heights, surefootedness and experienced technique in alpine terrain.
