Rundwanderung am Penser Joch

Vom Penser Joch (2211 m) zum nahen Berggasthaus Alpenrosenhof, von da stets auf dem Steig 14B zuerst über den Grat in leichtem Auf und Ab ostwärts zu einer Kammsenke mit nahem Bildstock (2206 m), dann hinauf zu einem markanten Felszacken mit Steinmann und kleinem Kreuz (2262 m), von dort über den breiter werdenden Kamm teils eben, teils in kurzem Auf und Ab zum Fuß der steilen Gipfelflanke und über sie in ein paar Kehren empor zum Gipfelplateau und zum höchsten Punkt (2367 m; ab Penser Joch 1 Std.). – empfohlener Abstieg: Der auf der Südseite absteigenden Markierung (14B) folgend in einer Schleife durch die steilen Grashänge hinunter zum querenden Steig 14A, auf diesem rechts abdrehend in leichtem Auf und Ab um die Süd-und Westseite des Astenberges herum zur Penser-Joch-Alm (2158 m; Ausschank) und der Straße folgend in gut 10 Minuten zurück zum Penser Joch (ab Gipfel gut 1 Std.).
