A pleasant route through spruce forests, past mountain huts and houses; it culminates at the vantage point of the 'Val de l'Infern' waterfall, where the water performs a spectacular leap into the abyss. It is suitable for the whole family.

Destination

Waterfall of the "Val de l'infern"

Turn-by-turn directions

Departure from Regnana: from Regnana, follow the signs for "val dell' inferno" on trail 443A and head into the village; pass a beautiful fountain and continue along the comfortable road with excellent signs. Shortly afterwards, the road becomes cobbled and steeper, set between dry stone walls: as you ascend, you notice some mountain huts and houses. At an obvious fork, leave the road for a woodland path (signposted Malga Stramaiolo and Val del Infern waterfalls), which zigzags its way up through the woods to make the ascent easier; when you reach a small clearing, leave the main path (443) and take a track that bends to the left; from there, in a few minutes on level ground and then downhill, you reach the viewpoint with a view of the waterfall. The viewpoint is a little exposed but protected with fences. The return is along the same route as the outward journey.

Departure from Centrale: from the bar-pizzeria Centrale take the tarmac road leading to the village of Stramaiolo and follow it for 300 metres to a bend signposted "Martinei-Regnana 443" where you take a forest road to the right. The road soon becomes a path, which must be followed to the beginning of an asphalt road with a view of the village of Bedollo. Follow this road downhill and then on the level for 500 metres; having reached the hairpin bend of the provincial road leading to the Redebus pass, take the path signposted "Regnana-Groffi 443A" which first leads through meadows and then through woodland to Groffi. From here, we enter the village and arrive at the fountain, continuing on the same route from Regnana. The return journey is along the same route as the outward journey.

Public transport

From Trento bus station, take line B403 towards Montesover (Trento - Pergine - Baselga di Pinè - Montesover) or line B402 (Trento - Nogarè - Baselga di Pinè -Montesover) and get off at Centrale di Bedollo.

From Centrale di Bedollo you can reach the village of Regnana on foot or by your own means of transport.

By road

From the A22 Brennero motorway (from the south exit Trento south – from the north exit Trento north) and from the Statale 12 del Brennero, continue along the S.S. 47 to Pergine Valsugana; take the S.P. 83 to Piné plateau passes up to Centrale di Bedollo and take the road to Passo Redebus to the village of Regnana.

Parking

If you choose to start from Regnana, you can park in the village square, near the grocery shop and church. If you prefer to start from Centrale di Bedollo, it is possible to park near the sports field along the road, continuing for about 300 metres in the direction of Brusago.
