Vom Dorfplatz in Waidbruck (471 m) ostseitig zwischen den Häusern (gut beschildert) auf kurzer Straße hinauf und dann auf dem Laubwald führenden Pflasterweg (Markierung 1) mittelsteil weiter zur Trostburg (627 m; Besichtigung im Rahmen von Führungen möglich ); ab Waidbruck knapp 0:45 Std. – Abstieg: Entweder wie Aufstieg oder auf dem südwärts führenden Sträßchen teils durch Laubgehölze, teils durch Wiesen am Hang in leicht absteigenden Windungen hinunter zum Friedhof und auf ebener Straße zurück nach Waidbruck; 0:45 Std.
