Turn-by-turn directions

The walk starts at the Völs am Schlern roundabout. After just a few paces, the route veers to the right along a tarred road, following the signpost for the “Völser Rundweg” (Völs Loop Trail). After a short distance, a meadow trail leads you through velvety green fields with breathtaking views down into the Eisack Valley and over to the Ritten plateau on the other side. The route crosses sunny slopes and up a gentle ascent to the Pitschlmann Buschenschank tavern. As you stroll over the meadows and through the woods, you will pass a few farms before you come to the uphill stretch which will take you along a tarred road, back to Völs am Schlern village centre.
