Nesslbrunnsteig - the steepest trail on the Ritten
The "Nesslbrunner-Steig" trail connects the sub-Mediterranean with the Alpine vegetation level.

From the car park on the road, follow the road that leads to Bilderburg Runkelstein and after a few hairpin bends keep to the right (marked "Keschtnweg"). Now follow the newly built promenade to the crossroads with Mark. No. 3 (Nesslbrunn-Weg) and follow it uphill. After a few steep steps, we reach the forest path marked no. 2 and soon reach the Maria Himmelfahrt summer resort on the Ritten.  Trail no. 2 leads past the church of Maria Himmelfahrt, the beautiful country houses and the railway line of the Rittner Bahn. Soon we reach the mountain station of the Rittner cable car in Oberbozen at 1,221m. Departure with the Rittner cable car to Bolzano (during maintenance work on the system, a bus replacement service runs). From there we reach our starting point of the tour via the noble Oswaldweg and the beautifully situated Heinrichstra&szlig.
