Tschafatsch circular hike
Gorgeous vantage points reward hikers for their efforts
From the car park (1200 m) in Weißlahnbad at the entrance to the Tschamin valley, climb through the so-called Bärenfalle to the Tschafatschsattel (2069 m). The ascent (M 2) proves to be rather steep, in the upper part the trail leads over small bridges. At the saddle, take trail 9 westwards up to the Mittagskofel (2187 m), a beautiful vantage point. From there, continue on a partly secured trail to the Nigglbergkopf (2136 m) and via the Nigglscharte with a detour up to the rewarding viewpoint of the Hammerwand (2124 m) and then down to the Tschafonhütte. The descent leads via the Wuhnleger on trail 4 A back to Weißlahnbad.
