Rocky flanks An epic crossing in a world of stone
Day 1 - From the rifugio Pederü to Alpe di Pices Fanes (Kleinfanes Almen)
From Longega in the lower Val Badia we will walk along the Valley of Mareo-Marebbe, passing the village of San Vigilio and all the way to the car park in Pederü (1,545 m). You can reach the Alpe di Pices Fanes either on foot (2,040 m approx, 2 hours) or by jeep with the option of an overnight stay at the Rifugi Ütia de Fanes and Ütia de Lavarela.

Day 2 - From Alpe di Pices Fanes (Kleinfanes Almen) to the summit of Piz de Lavarela and descent
Route 12 along the plateau takes you to the col of Medèsc (2,533 m, 1.5 to 2 hours). Following the directions to «Lavarela» and then the red marks, a zigzag path will take you to a steep and rocky ridge. This is reached after a grade 1 climb.
