Trek from the Rifugio Cremona alla Stua to the Rifugio Tribulaun
passing the high ridge line

Ascent: At the top of the Fleres Valley - Pflersch (from Colle Isarco - Gossensass, to the north of Vipiteno) we will go all the way to the car park near the «in der Hölle» waterfall («hell», approx. 1,500 m). Following the directions to «Magdeburger Hütte» and across the bridge, we will take route 6, which runs up through a forest and rocky slopes to the refuge (2,423 m, open in summer; at least 2.5 hours). The Fleres high route: Continuing eastwards on route 7 among several ups and downs on scree (including a section equipped with fixed ropes) takes us to the impressive Weisswandspitze (3,016 m; half an hour up to the summit). We will cross the face at the point where the schist and the dolomite meet (2,870 m), along a long horizontal ledge. At the east edge we have a straightforward walk up to the Hoher Zahn Peak (2,925 m), then down the east ridge and across scree, to reach a beautiful lake and the Tribulaunhütte (2,368 m, Rifugio Calciati, open in summer; at least 3 hours on
