Tour of the mountain passing by Cròs del Cùc and the Sas de le Parole
APT Trento, monte Bondone e Valle dei Laghi Verified partner Explorers Choice
A beautiful loop circles the large ridge above the village of Bedollo.
The Cròs del Cùc has always stood guard over the Altopiano di Piné, even at night with its illuminated cross. The itinerary offers a suggestive panorama of the main Piné lakes and the major peaks that embrace them. It is an easy and highly satisfying destination.
Points of interest along the route include the Piz Comboni (coordinates N 46°11'16.3 E 11°18'30.6) and the original Sass delle Parole (coordinates N 46°11'17.8 E 11°18'39.8).

Degree of difficulty according to the common symbols: EE route (on paths and tracks)
Risks or difficulties present along the route: lack of adequate signage in a short stretch in the area of Mount Speggia; a stone boundary wall that indicates the correct way. Some sections of the path downhill after the locality of Pernaia have an "unpleasant" ground, in the sense that there are stones and branches inside, with even slightly steep sections. Pay attention!

From the car park, we follow the forest road through beautiful spruce woods in a northerly direction. There are a couple of forks with other roads, but the signposts are abundant (signs specifying Cròs del Cùc) and help us not to lose our way. Continuing on an easy uphill forest road, which is also cemented in the steepest sections, we find rest points with benches and a water fountain. Arriving at the fourth hairpin bend, after a walk of about 2 km from the start, we find the junction for Cròs del cùc which, with a 5-minute detour, takes us to a fabulous spot, with a breathtaking view and therefore ideal for taking some beautiful photographs. Returning to the forest road, we continue on the same, passing through the localities of "piz loven", "loca de l'aris" and "el paludat"; after about 3.7 km, in the locality of "bait del crio", noting the "piz comboni" sign, we leave the forest road for a track on the left and, on the level or slightly downhill, we enter the forest. Here there are two beautiful points of interest: Piz Comboni and Sass delle Parole. The former offers suggestive views of the Cembra Valley and the latter is a large, rounded boulder with numbers and words engraved on it. Remaining careful not to lose track of the path, continuing in a south-easterly direction, we join another forest road; from here we can see the village of Brusago, Mount Cogne and the Fregasoga peak dominating the village. Continue along the forest road to return to the car park. The tour is mainly on forest roads except for the central section on footpaths; the latter is not marked with the classic red-and-white markings but is easily intuitable.
