Tonale peat bog
A beautiful hike that allows visiting the Torbiere del Tonale (Tonale bogs). This area is home to numerous wet micro-organisms, animals and rare plant species. For this reason, it has been declared a "Site of Community Interest" and herewith you reach the beautiful Val Presena.

From Passo del Tonale, take Via S. Bartolomeo and, after going around the parish church of the same name and the unmistakable towers, follow the path that leads to the so-called Torbiere. When you reach the information centre, ignore the dirt road that leads to the state road. Instead, continue to the right along a path (sometimes not well marked) until you reach the sewage treatment plant and shortly afterwards turn right onto the Pecgrave road. After about 600 m, go straight on at the first bend and turn right to reach the Raseghe rest area and then the Presena riverbed and its picturesque little beach „Tonale Beach“. After returning to the sewage treatment plant, cross the state road and follow the mule track that leads to the mountain pass. Cross it to the left (west) to return to Passo del Tonale after a short stretch of path and road (first unpaved and then asphalted).
