Approach is from Tesido (Taisten) in Val Pusteria (Pusteral) Valley at 1,203 metres, along the asphalted Höfestraße (lit: farm road) through sloping meadows up to the Guggenberghöfen Farms, which are splendidly situated. From there, it’s mostly through forest up the small parking area just above Mudlerhof Farm. (Tavern; 1,584 m). From there, walking along the wide forest road, which is closed to vehicles and has no steep grades to speak of, go through wooded slopes, without any orientation problems, up to the Taistner Vorderalm alpine pastures (1,992 m; tavern); about 1.5 hours from Mudlerhof Farm. Descent: same as described ascent, just over 1 hour.
