On rarely used paths to the ruins of the flak position high above Gries.

The tour starts directly at Grieser Platz and leads from there to the old Gries parish church. Go through the Friedhoch, turn right and after a few metres take the old Glaniger Plattenweg, marked with number 9, steeply uphill. Follow this path to the Buschenschank Föhrner and continue up to Glaninger Stra&szlig. Here, turn right and follow trail no. 5 to the road tunnel, before the tunnel turn left uphill into trail no. 6. Climb steeply up until trail 6B leads to the old flak positions and the lookout point on the left. Return via trail 11 and 6A to trail no. 6 and continue via trail 5A and 5 to the Locher inn. From the inn, take trail 33A for an easy hike to Jenesien and the cable car. Those who wish can descend from the cable car to Bolzano on the old Jenesiner Strasse (marked with no. 1), those who want to spare their knee joints can take the cable car;
