Lowest point1,691 m
On the enchanting Cima Bianca Grande The Val di Fosse is one of the most unspoilt valleys in Alto Adige, the route to the Mitterkaser alpine hut is a perfect example.
Arriving from the Val Senales and from there you turn right up the steepest path in the Val di Fosse as far as the Vorderkaser alpine hut. From the Vorderkaser (1,693 m, restaurant, parking) you go along the broad unpaved path (route 24), which takes you along most of the old "Talweg" path, up a gentle incline to the Mitterkaseralm alpine hut (1,954 m, restaurant, 1 hour from the Vorderkaser mountain hut). Return via the same route.
