To the Magdeburg Hut in Pflersch
Here, the primitive rock and glacier lover is in the middle of his world. Dark, solid gneiss surrounds him, and even though the glaciers have receded considerably in recent years, the Stubenferner and the Feuersteinferner still dominate the picture of this area, towered over by the Schneespitze.
Approach from Gossensaß into the Pflerschtal valley, just outside the village of Innerpflersch (1245 m) turn left off the valley road and then always on the shady side (orographically on the right) on a narrow road into the valley until you reach a small car park near the waterfall "in der Hölle" (approx. 1465 m). From there, follow the signs to "Magdeburger Hütte" on the bridge over the Talbach stream and soon after on the old hut trail of Mark. 6, through largely open terrain, dominated by grassy slopes and rocky sections, slightly ascending at first and later steeply throughout, up to the Magdeburger Hut (2423 m; summer management); from the car park a good 2:30 hrs - descent as ascent; 2 hrs (the "Höhenweg" to the Tribulaun Hut, which initially ascends to almost 2900 m, is not considered as a descent route).
