To Malga San Felice and its small lake Exploring Val di Non and its larches.
From the parking lot (1,329 m) follow a slightly uphill forest road which takes you away from the main road. Pass by an old sawmill and soon you will be submerged in a larch thicket with blooming fields. Various directions invite you to head towards far-away places, but we will keep to the forest road. Follow the road uphill to the cosy Malga di San Felice in approx. 1 ½ hours (1,630 m) where we can stop, rest and eat. A narrow path leads you to the lake where you may have to lift and carry any pram in some areas. After ten minutes, the wood opens up and we find ourselves in front of Lago di Santa Maria, the lake which also goes by the name of Lago di Tret. You can rest for a fit. Before heading back it would be good to walk around the lake with its island in the centre. Return on the same route.
