Larches and pines
Hike in the “foothills” of the Drei Zinnen in the valley Pustertal

From the parking lot (1353 m) you cross the river Fischleinbach and follow the signs in the direction of the hut at the end of the valley (Talschlusshütte). The path brings you through unique, manmade meadows of larches that are heavily used by farmers. After approx. 45 minutes you will reach the hut Fischleinbodenhütte over the pleasantly rising path (1454 m; you can also drive up to this point and park here, small fee). From now on you are in the middle of the Dolomites of Sexten and the mountain peaks present themselves right in front of you: Sextner Rotwand (2965 m), Elfer (3092 m), Zwölfer (3094 m), Einser (2689 m) and so forth. The path brings you through young and small mountain pines and meadows with cosy places to stay for a break. After a pleasant 30 minute walk you will arrive at the hut at the end of the valley (1548 m). The unique view and the playground invite for a short stay. The way back follows the same path. Conditions of the path: forest road, doable with a buggy.
