Val Giovo (Jaufental) Valley
This hike runs through a tributory valley of the Upper Valle Isarco (Wipptal) Valley

Hike provided by the Vipiteno (Sterzing) Tourist Bureau. From Valdimezzo (Mittertal) in Val Giovo (Jaufental) Valley, take the Waldeben-Rodelbahn-Weg Trail (a sledding trail in winter) towards Costamonte (Seiterberg), and turn left towards Wiesl as far as Cospineto (Gospeneid). From there, you start out on a footpath then along a narrow, asphalted street, past an old farm, to Rust. Follow the street downhill, go straight through the intersection, and then follow the little street down to Vipiteno. At the next intersection, turn left. Make another left immediately after the bridge, onto a dirt road. This will take you to Casateia (Gasteig), near the Platzl Bar. Follow along the main road for about 100 metres, until you reach the Gasteigerhof Hotel. Directly across from the hotel, on the left-hand side of the street, you’ll find the Panoramaweg Trail into Val Giovo (Jaufental) Valley, which will take you back to the starting point.
