To the Greifenstein Ruin
The hike leads from Moritzing up over the Viper Bauer to the Noafer and on to the Greifenstein ruins.
From the bus stop in Moritzing, start in a westerly direction along the asphalted Moritzinger Stra;e, past the Moritzinger church. After about 10 minutes on foot, leave Moritzinger Strasse and follow the 11B trail up through the vineyards on the right. At the edge of the vineyards, the trail begins, always with the 11B marking, partly steeply uphill. With several viewing opportunities, you hike past the Viper Bauer and continue on a forest path to Noafer. Here you turn left, following trail no. 11, to the Greifenstein ruins. From there, return briefly on the same path and then begin the descent on path no. 11. The descent is steep in parts until you reach a crossroads. At this junction, stay on trail no. 11 and follow it down to the main road. Turn left briefly here in an easterly direction, around the bend to the bus stop at the cactus settlement in St. Moritzing. Take the bus back to the bus stop in Moritzing, the starting point.
