From Ennewasser you climb steeply on trail 2 through the Flimwald forest to the Bärenplott (scenic weather cross and barbecue area) and further up to the unmanaged Untere Flimalm (1890 m; 2 hours from the starting point). For another hour, the trail leads steeply in narrow serpentines over a terrain jump between rock massifs to the likewise unserviced Obere Flimalm (2235 m). From here, follow trail 18 (signposted "Soyalm") for about 20 minutes up to the Unterer Flimsee.
