Through the Wengen cave landscape
The rural settlements, the so-called "Viles", which have been documented since the 13th century, are widely scattered on the meadow slopes.
From the high village of Wengen in the Val Badia (138 m, road up from Pederoa) briefly on the access road down to the hamlet of Lunz (1305 m), here turn left and partly on the little road, partly on the old valley path in a slightly ascending forest hike into the valley to the Al Bagn inn (Rumestluns, approx. 1400 m; from Wengen a good 0:30 hrs). From there, continue up the valley on trail 15 for a good 15 minutes, then turn left at the car park and trail split on the farm access road out to the farms of Spëscia dessot (Lower Spëscia), briefly up to Spëscia dessura (Upper Spëscia, 1595 m) from there briefly up to the crossing trail 13/15 and now on this mostly level hike through the meadow slopes out of the valley to the Ciurnadò farm and inn (approx. 1540 m, from Rumestluns just under 1:30 hrs). From there, continue westwards on the road (ignoring the 13/15 marker branching off to the right) to the hamlet of Fontanela, briefly down to Alt-Wengen (here the steeple of the former church),
