This hike from Bolzano (Bozen) to the villages of Signato (Signat) and Costalovara (Wolfsgruben) is very reqarding.

In the Rencio (Rentsch) district of Bolzano (Bozen), follow Trail No. 5 where the road up to Renon (Ritten) begins, at about 300 m. The trail is partially on the main road to Renon, but mostly on an old paved road through wineries up to Santa Giustina (St. Justina) Church. Continue, keeping left on Trail No. 5, leading you through bushes up to Loosmannhof Farm and finally through woodlands and meadows to Signato (Signat) Chapel and the nearby Signaterhof Restaurant (848 m); about 2 hours from Rencio. Follow signs to Partschoner (Keschtnweg) on the broad road (No. 26) towards the east tuntil you reach Partschoner Restaurant (996 m) after about 30 minutes. Then, continue on Trail No. 13 up through the forest to Wolfsgruben (1,204 m; restaurant; 1.5 hours from Partschoner). Descent: From Wolfsgruben, follow Trail No. 5 on a narrow asphalt road through the forest down in the direction of Signato. Tip: before reaching the meadows, there's a sign for the Erdpyramiden (lit: earth pyramids);
